Milecastle Housing is pleased that the
uncertainty over the future shape of day care provision in Prudhoe
has now been resolved.
We recognise this has been an unsettling
period for older people in the area who have used the Oaklands
centre, so Milecastle will now move as quickly as possible to
confirm what type of activities we can provide at The Manors.
We will work with residents, their families
and key service providers to shape the delivery of services to
ensure that a range of activities is offered within the budgets
available to both Milecastle Housing and the users themselves.
Alison Urquhart, support manager for
Milecastle Housing, said: “The Manors has already proved a popular
scheme with residents of the apartments and those using the Manor
Kitchen restaurant. Now we can look forward to providing a full
programme of activities and personal care for older people in the
wider community too.”
